The Camelot Sword: Swinging Into Action!

As Arthurian mythology began to take hold of the Stargate SG-1 universe in the beginning of Season Nine, so did our hero’s grasp on a couple of swords. Two big sword fights took place in Season Nine between Colonel Cameron Mitchell and a knight in armor, in the episodes “Avalon, Part 2″ and the season finale, “Camelot.”
Propworx is proud to make Mitchell’s sword from “Camelot” available to one very special buyer in this week’s auction! What distinguishes this sword from the Excalibur sword in “Avalon, Part 2″ is a turquoise crystal at the base of the hilt. The sword from the Camelot village does not feature this crystal.
Cam fought valiantly against the black knight in the season finale, but the holographic opponent proved to be too strong for him. It was only thanks to Daniel damaging Merlin’s Ancient console that the knight was deactivated.
A great deal of care went into the creation of this piece. The sword, made of aluminum, features black leather wrappings around the hilt. The hand guard features a Celtic-style design engraved around the side, and two green crystals embedded within. The blade features nicks from production use.
