Invested in the Future

Where would the Atlantis teams be without their tactical vests, you ask? In deep trouble, I say! These vests were used to carry extra ammo (an essential need- seeing as how the Wraith were very hard to put down), radios to stay in contact with the rest of the team, webbing on the back to attach a pack, and body armor (called trauma plates) to protect them from incoming fire. With all this in one package, who could ask for anything more? Certainly not the Atlantis Teams – they almost always wore these vests when they left Atlantis.

The vest that we have up this week is by Condor and is made of black nylon and leather, it also features nine pouches that close with Velcro in front, and three Velcro closing compartments for the addition of trauma plates. Take the opportunity to get yourself this great piece of Atlantis gear this week!!!

On the SG1 vest they used fast-tex buckles attached to the shoulder D-rings in order to attach a backpack. Can you show a photo of what the attachment is on this vest? I don’t see the buckes, and the nylon webbing isn’t normally used for attaching a pack.
