Ori Supergate Crystal

The Ori were introduced as a brand new threat to the Stargate universe at the beginning of Season Nine. This race of ascended beings behaved almost entirely opposite of the Ancients, forcing humans beneath to worship them. The continual transfer of energy provided by the process of worship gave them power.

This week we are auctioning off an Ori supergate crystal, seen in the SG-1 Season Nine finale, “Camelot”. This crystal was used in the scene with Samantha Carter during her space walk. Carter is beamed to the exterior of an Ori supergate segment, where she attempts to thwart an incoming dialing sequence from the Ori galaxy by adding a customized crystal to the control board.

This prop is a clear acrylic panel cut into geometric shapes with etched simulated circuitry. It measures 6in x 3in x .5in.

Steal Their Secrets

Propworx has been moving full-steam ahead for more than 26 weeks, and in that time we’ve auctioned off numerous Wraith pieces. Not many are as cool as this beautiful prop, a Wraith data device, used in numerous episodes of Stargate Atlantis!

The Wraith used this technology to interface with their various devices, as well as Earth tech. Dr. Rodney McKay acquired a number of these units and added USB jacks to them to operate with human tech. This particular prop remains unaltered.

The prop is made of resin and metal, features nine lights on top which light up in sequence by use of a slide switch on bottom, and includes a spring-loaded clip-on plug which extends from the front on a retractable black rubber cord.

This is the last time we’ll be offering this unit in the eBay auctions. If you miss it this time you’ll have to wait for the Stargate live auctions to get a chance for one. Check it out now!

Leap Mountains in a Single Bound

We’ve all been there, needing to cross a physical boundary, get to the other side of a locked door or cross a freeway of speeding traffic. One Stargate Atlantis character had the solution, in the form of this armband.

Mike Dopud’s character of Kiryk, the only other Wraith Runner we met besides Ronon Dex, had the ability to cross great distances with this device in the blink of an eye. And anyone he was touching could be teleported too. The device had several drawbacks, but the effect of the unit is still alluring.

The armband is made of green rubber with a clear plastic lens, behind which can be seen twelve LED lights. Two switches power the unit and light the device between green and red. This auction also includes a second set of functional LEDs and two lithium batteries in their original packaging.

Even Nanites Need Security

When the Replicators were eradicated at the end of “Reckoning, Part 2″, we thought we had seen the last of them. Not so. The “grandfathers” of modern day Replicators were eventually discovered in the Pegasus Galaxy, and they came packing with advanced technology, and the security forces to protect it.

This security uniform was introduced to Stargate Atlantis in Season Three and seen through Season Four of the series. It features a tan cotton jacket and pants with Velcro panels on the wrists, as well as leather gauntlets. The chest armor also features a holster for a Replicator stunner.

Propworx will have a presence at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con International event, starting tonight (preview night) and running through Sunday, July 25. Look for us at Booth # 3744 in Hall H.

Propworx will be showcasing its collection of Star Trek memorabilia, including numerous pieces which will be auctioned off at our upcoming Star Trek event in Las Vegas on August 8!

Visions of Teal’c

This week Propworx is presenting an exciting glimpse into what may have been — four different facial models for Teal’c. These drawings were created before actor Christopher Judge had been cast in the role. This sheet reveals different hair designs, as well as long ear lobes for each off the characters.

The third option on this sheet indicates a serpent-like tattoo design, which may have been the inspiration for the symbol for Apophis that Teal’c has worn above his brow for ten seasons of SG-1.

Either way, this is a fascinating glimpse at some of the directions Teal’c may have taken in the series.

Video Blog: Daniel’s Ori Gauntlet

In the heat of the conflict between Ori warships and the Milky Way defense force, Daniel Jackson escaped the soon-to-be-destroyed Korolev and found himself aboard Vala’s Ori ship. Soon he was supplied with an Ori suit of armor, to be less conspicuous, as well as a special gauntlet weapon which he used on Adria.
